1. Be in a place to notice what you want to change – when you realise that you have had enough, is typically that place.
2. Let go of all the excuses – if you can’t, then you’re not really ready for the change.
3. Start it NOW – or at least within 24hrs of making the choice.
4. Set the environment for your new choice to be successful – remove the things that could possibly derail you.
5. Commit wholeheartedly – 21 days is the first step, then aim for 3 months, and 6 months, and then 1 year and before you know it, you’re on your way to having a lifetime shift.
6. Find your motivator – why is this important to you? When things get tough, this is what will keep you moving forward. Ever heard of the 7 levels of WHY?
7. Record the wins by celebrating the baby steps.
8. ENJOY what you are doing so that your feel-good hormones get to flood through your body and brain!
